TGIF
Christmas is less than 2 weeks away and I don’t feel ready… The house is decorated (I only did half as much compared to last year) and I think we’re done for shopping for Deck… I’m sure I will end up finding more things, like for his stocking, but overall – he can be checked off the list… I have a few things for Eric and told him I can’t think of anything I need besides a new computer – so that’s what I’m getting, and he’ll put some $ towards that (Mac Pro, thank you very much)… Everything else that I can think of, I’ve already bought myself because that’s just how I am…
Today is our holiday party at work – festivities begin at Noon and then things will carry-over into happy hour later this afternoon… When I first started here, our luncheons used to be at the Willard Hotel and were pretty fancy with a sit-down meal, wine, and lots of door prizes… Since then, they’ve cut back and we now have something that’s catered in-house – the food isn’t great, but at least there will be boxed wine and a few prizes (I think)… Happy Holidays indeed~
Weekend plans are pretty open right now – I may drag Deck out with me tomorrow and head to Homegoods and TJMaxx, and then we may attempt to go see Santa at the Trolley Museum on Sunday…
Hope you have a great weekend…
Happy Friday…

Ready to go…

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree…
crack
It’s been a long week, with my back and everything… It’s gradually getting better, but only slightly, and my chiro said there’s not much I can do besides letting it heal… He did give me a much-needed adjustment, so I’ll be be going back next week for a follow-up and possible massage as well… My left leg has also started to hurt, but could be a result of my back – who knows… I do feel more like myself today then I have for a while, so something must be improving… Let’s hope it continues because I need to finish decorating for Christmas! And start thinking about what to get everyone – oy vey!
I haven’t weighed myself because I haven’t been able to exercise and don’t think I should until I can walk w/out pain… This is very discouraging especially since I was starting to get back on track again and even got Eric to workout with me… Better to be safe than sorry I suppose…
Work had been busy, but is calming down a bit and will pick back up again soon… So many things are due to get published this month because (1) it’s December and (2) they have been pushed back for months… It’s good that we have 3 designers again, though one is still learning and the other takes a very long time (and also can’t multitask)… My boss and I often wonder how anyone, in today’s society, can have a job and not have to work on more than 1 project at a time… Heck, on some days I have at least 3 on my plate, if not more… It’s just part of the job…
Anyhoo, here are some pics from last weekend…
Happy Thursday…

Day 28
Wow, I totally suck at this daily thing… It’s been a busy week, which is no excuse, but that’s all I got… Thanksgiving came and went without incident – we left early on Thursday and were back home by Friday afternoon… Took some lovely back roads up and back, had a nice visit with the family, but were glad to be home for the weekend… We ventured out into the cold to get a Christmas tree on Saturday – it’s up, but not decorated… Perhaps that will be my project for Sunday since Saturday is a wash… The boys need haircuts, Deck needs to visit with Santa, and some of Eric’s coworkers are coming over for dinner on Saturday night… I should hit the grocery store tonight or tomorrow since Friday is girl’s night and won’t be able to do anything then… I also woke-up this morning and pulled something in my back during the night (is that possible?) – it was fine last night when I did 30-minutes on the elliptical and sit-ups… I have one of those self-adhesive things on now – not sure if its helping because it sure does hurt…
Not much else is going on, sorry things have been quiet… Here are some pics in the meantime…
Happy Hump Day!

Fun with papa on Thanksgiving…

Looking for the perfect tree…
Day 21
Deck is sleeping, Eric went to see a friend, and Willy Wonka is on tv… I love this movie and can’t wait for Deck to be old enough to watch it… Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is good, but will never be as good as the original…
Work was busy and I finished the first part of my research project – go me! I will have to work on another project next week – website for our annual meeting… Though I will not be the lead designer this year, I will get the website updated and ready for the other designer to take over in January… I’ve been training her on other web stuff and am proud to say that she’s going great and has learned quickly… I remember being young, eager, and anxious to learn – 10 years has gone by like the blink of an eye…
I should probably get more things together while I have the energy… I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and be safe if your traveling…
Happy Hump Day…
