weigh-in

i did MUCH better this week and was down 2.4 pounds (.4 pounds from my beginning weight) and yes, i was pretty happy, but still disappointed that it wasn’t more… why do we do that?! why can’t we be satisfied with a loss, regardless of how much?! why must the numbers be larger than 1 pound in order to feel successful?! i’m not really looking for an answer – just venting since i know i’m not the only one that feels this way… i promise to work on my attitude…

work has been busy and i fear what it will be like after august 19 when the other designer leaves… we are looking for a replacement, but we all know how long it takes to find someone that is (a) talented, (b) easy to work with, (c) eager to learn, and (d) nice… fingers-crossed that we find someone sooner rather than later or i’ll be doing a lot of work from home…

this past weekend was pretty busy – took the cats to the vets and have to take 2 of them back on monday (1 is getting shaved and chipped and the other has a bad tooth that has to come out)… on sunday, we had some friends and their kids over to see the house – all went well and i made sure to make lots of healthy food (so whatever was leftover was okay for me to eat)… this coming weekend – we are heading to my sister’s and weather-depending – we’ll be able to check-out their pool… and both of us took monday and tuesday off so we can paint and see a movie (i have a ton of vacation to use)…

speaking of vacation – we finally nailed down some dates and reserved a room at the beach for after labor day… we won’t be attempting to camp this year and figured a hotel would be easier this time, though we plan on going to the same beach since it’s pretty deserted… i’m anxious to see how deck does in the sand and ocean – my guess is, he will LOVE it… i also ordered one of those beach cabanas so there will be a shaded spot for napping and out of the sun… i.can’t.wait…

i hope you’re all having a great week!
