As expected, I was 1 pound up this week – no biggie considering I had a lot of wine, bread, cheese over the course of 3 days… I will be taking my measurements this weekend so I’m confident that I will see (small) results in that area at least… Today is the day that I start weight-training again – I found some good workouts online and will see what I think… One is called Power Pairs and the other is called Total Body Transformation (both are from Women’s Health… I may try both and see which one I like best, or do a combo – we’ll see… I’m also going to start the Couch to 5K program next week… Both of these additions should help my weight loss and if anything, tone up some areas that I’m just not happy with…
On the work front – I received not one, but two monetary thank-you’s in the last week… One, from my boss, was a thank-you for all the hard work I did on the annual meeting as well as over the last year while we were short-staffed and the second, was a $100 amex gift card, from the President, for working on the annual meeting… I really wish I was a purse girl because that money would come in handy, but I’ll just tuck it away for something later… Maybe a spa-day?
The weekend is almost upon us and our guests will be back in town tomorrow night… Eric is making some of his yummy quiches tonight, in prep for a late dinner tomorrow, and I need to grab some stuff from the store tonight… They are headed back to the airport on Saturday and then we’re done with visitors for this month… Deck and I may go see my mom on Saturday night, but Sunday is wide-open and that sounds SO nice…
